Course Description

This is a survey course in music history designed to assist the non-musician as well as the music major in developing a useful understanding of and a broader insight into the art of music. Music Appreciation overviews the history, stylistic practices, repertoire and composers of the six periods of Western classical music, from 400 A.D. to the present.
