Course Description
This course is a survey course which will introduce the student to pre-Columbian society in North America, exploration, colonization, the American Revolution and Constitution, National period to the Civil War, westward expansion and development of big business, and America in the 20th century. Themes that will be studied throughout the course include the development of American government and institutions, evolution of American business and the economy, and pluralism in American society.
